If you need any new medication, please make an appointment to see a doctor.

How do I get a repeat prescription?

We run a computer system for repeat prescriptions. Your prescription will be issued together with a side slip showing your medication. Please check that this record is up to date.

When requesting a repeat prescription please bring or send or fax this record to the Health centre or to the Steeton or Silsden pharmacies and indicate the items that you need. Most repeat issues are for 28 days.

Please check with your doctor when you are due an appointment to review your medication.

Prescriptions may also be emailed to either silsden.prescriptions@bradford.nhs.uk or steeton.prescriptions@bradford.nhs.uk . Please include your full name, date of birth, address and where you normally collect your prescriptions from, along with details of your medication as they appear on the side slip. If we are unable to process your request due to lack of information, your email will be returned to you. Please note that these email addresses should not be used for any purpose other than ordering repeat medication. You should receive an automatic acknowledgement that we have received your email request.

Repeat prescriptions should be ordered at least 48 hours in advance. Please avoid phoning for repeat prescriptions as this may lead to errors. Please do not request additional items on your slip unless this has been agreed with your doctor.
